Loose Flowering Hornbeam Starters

Loose Flowering Hornbeam (Carpinus laxiflora) is a deciduous tree native to Japan, closely related to the Korean Hornbeam but known for the distinct appearance of its flowers. It features fine twigs, small serrated leaves, and a graceful natural form—making it an excellent candidate for refined bonsai work.

This specimen offers early trunk development and branching structure, with seasonal interest from soft yellow fall color to its bare winter silhouette. In spring, LFH can produce understated catkin-like flowers that add quiet charm.
