Japanese black pine are among the most prized of bonsai species, with rugged bark, beautiful dark green needles and a predictable and well-documented growth regimen.

These are in 3.3" plastic containers with small side buds at the one-year node and a strong central leader. The trees shown are a typical example, trunk size is up to 3/16" (about the size of a standard pencil) approximate height - 7-10" The photos are representative, and do not show the actual tree.

These trees are treated like young bonsai, including root work, but they will easily grow and improve in your care!

Great product

The black pine is beautiful and has strong rook. It is a good product to start your own project. I really recommend this product.

Japanese Black Pine

Another beautiful starter plant received from Bonsaify. The shape of the plant is fantastic. I have planted it into a larger pot and will give it years for growth.

was a bit concerned about how the two black pine starters would fare over the course of a week inside an enclosed box during transit, but was pleasantly surprised at how healthy and well maintained they were. I especially appreciated the work that went into them to produce the low bend in the trunk and the pruning and decandling that was done to get them to this point. Also greatly appreciated the follow up response and information that was provided to my inquiry. Simply put, these guys are awesome.

The trees were delivered promptly and packaged neatly. Healthy little trees with nice movement low on the trunk. Will definitely order more products from Bonsaify in the future.
