Eric Schrader Dark ash-splashed Hexagon #11

In this series of hand-carved hexagonal pots, Eric has made no two pots the same, with each having slightly different details, size and features. Created from small blocks of wet clay through a successive carving technique inspired by mame-pot makers in Japan. High fired and with a light ash splash, these are perfect for many types of conifers.

A strong interior-hanging lip on the rim lends a solid feeling, offset by the feet centered on the facets creates an interesting visual tension in this pot. 

Ash drips are concentrated on a single facet, with the opposite side showing much lighter ash coverage.

Interior 2.3" across, 1.5" deep.
