Small Japanese Larch Copse #3
Japanese Larch (Larix Kaempferi) is a deciduous conifer that is amazing for bonsai because of the contrast between delicate needles and rugged bark, compact branching habit, and tolerance for root work. Needles are 1/2-1 1/2" in length; they emerge in early spring and drop after turning brilliant yellow in fall.
Larch is best suited to northern and mountain climates - winter protection is still needed for the roots, but they are very cold tolerant.
4 tree planting - about 14" tall.
