If you've ever been awed by a hike through redwood groves, a trip to the top of a mountain where you encountered twisted trees, or a stroll through an ancient Beech forest in Germany, you know the impact that trees can have on your mind. Trees in the wild are giant; ancient; architectural; and inspiring. In bonsai, we work to design trees that represent what we see in the wild.

A bonsai may represent a wind-battered Juniper; a mellow, colorful Maple; or a giant majestic Redwood. In each case, our bonsai practice can be informed and improved by consciously connecting how we view our bonsai trees to how we view wild trees - whether from a craggy ridge on a trail, or from a park bench in your neighborhood.

For this seminar, Eric Schrader will discuss where he finds inspiration to support his bonsai practice, and share images of wild trees from his travels around the country.

Registration is free - this is a great opportunity to learn a little while enjoying some great photos of trees!

Live online seminar to take place on Wednesday March 3rd, 2021, 5pm Pacific (8pm Eastern)  A webinar link will be provided to participants who register by "purchasing" this item.
