Elegant Yaupon Holly #3
Yaupon Holly is an American Native plant, common in the southeast, along the gulf coast and a bit north. The evergreen trees have small shiny leaves, and tiny white flowers, they can produce tiny berries under the right conditions. An easy tree to care for, they like lots of sun and will need regular trimming.
Traditionally used by native Americans as a source of caffeine, you can make tisane (aka herbal tea) from the dried leaves!
This tree is in a 3.5" round container by Thomas Arakawa, and has a full small crown of leaves. Height is about 6", trunk girth about 1/2".
