Elegant Upright Kishu Juniper

This is a very special tree. It's been a mainstay of Eric's personal collection for nearly 20 years and was among the trees exhibited at The Artisans Cup in Portland, Oregon in 2015. A fresh branch cleanup and styling by Sam Tan, current Bonsai Society of San Francisco president and Bonsai Mirai student, has made it show-ready, with exhibition quality characteristics. 

Eric was originally drawn to the subtle character in the trunk - a collected California Juniper. With the help of Boon Manakitivipart, Eric grafted the tree around 2008 and has been growing it ever since. 

The tree was repotted in January 2022 into a contemporary handmade round riveted Japanese pot with artists mark (we're not 100% sure of the maker.) 

Local pick-up is preferred; shipping is available with buyer-assumed risk in case of damage or loss in transit.
