Cotoneaster Mame Bonsai 2022 Edition #11

Have you been looking for a beautiful flowering mini-bonsai in a one-of-a-kind hand-thrown pot? Well, look no further! We love Cotoneaster microphyllus, a species that is typically covered in flowers in April - June (depending on local conditions), sporadically flowers later in the year, and is covered in red fruits through summer and fall.

Cotoneaster are semi-deciduous in winter, hardy to USDA zone 5 when planted in the ground, but bonsai should be protected from sub 28F temperatures.  Plants can grow straight through winter indoors or in a heated greenhouse.
