Arakawa Ash Splashed Shallow Oval Bonsai Forest Tray
A dark clay body, reduction fired with a splash of ash that lends an organic irregular feeling, these ovals are perfect for a small conifer or coniferous forest.
Each of these trays is created from a collaboration between Eric Schrader and Thomas and Kathy Arakawa.
10" size: 9.25" x 6.25" interior x 1" deep
12" Size: 11.25"x 7.25" interior x 1" deep.
Thomas Arakawa was born and raised in Japan, and came to the United States at the age of 19. For Thomas, the process of making pottery is affirmation of his Japanese heritage and American influences.
