Kishu Juniper Grafting Stock
These Kishu junipers are grown specifically to be used for approach and scion grafting. The long runners (the extensions) are perfect for use when grafting Kishu onto collected wild juniper stock, or any juniper with a large trunk but poor foliage character. They are unwired and relatively straight.
The trunks are about 1/4" diameter and they are 10-16" tall; in 3x9 Anderson Bands. The rootball may need reduction prior to using them so that they fit into the space for approach grafts if you're working on a small tree.
Kishu are among the best junipers for bonsai, with tight delicate foliage that creates heavenly clouds almost by itself. The runners (strong central shoots) are used to make branches and trunks. Wood production is faster in hotter climates.

We vouch for the health and vigor of our plants. These trees are treated like young bonsai, including root work, but they will easily grow and improve in your care!
