Japanese Black Pine For Exposed Root and Root Over Rock
Are you interested in growing your own exposed root or root over rock pine bonsai trees? These two year olds will be available only through Jan 30th, 2022.
Japanese black pine are among the most prized of bonsai species, with rugged bark, beautiful dark green needles and a predictable and well-documented growth regimen.
These are in 3"x9" deep "Anderson Bands", a type of plastic container designed to create long roots and vigorous growth. The trees have vigorous central leaders with small side buds at the one-year node. The first year's growth has been previously wired to ensure the trunks are not straight.
The trees shown are a typical example, trunk size is up to 3/8" (from a standard pencil to a bit bigger) approximate height - 7-18" The photos are representative, and do not show the actual tree you will receive.
We vouch for the health and vigor of our plants. These trees are treated like young bonsai, including root work, but they will easily grow and improve in your care!

I never sent a review and that's my bad.. this next order which is my 3rd or 4th order. Yes I'm still a novice but somehow I keep killing my black pine every dang time juniper I ordered 3 years ago is doing amazing but this will be my 3rd long root JBP and I'm hoping this one I have figured it out.. beginner mistakes haunted my pines which I thought were indestructible in a tree sorta way not literally boy was I wrong with a JBP and I think over the past few years I'm finding my problems so I'm gonna give it another shot if this next one passes on..I'll have to wait until my knowledge is further along. Thank God this company sells these at an amazing price.

I ordered 8 black pine starters, a willow and the mini pine cone planting #7. They all arrived really well packaged, I was worried with these 100+ degree days. Got them all set up in my bonsai area right away and they’re doing great! Have had them about a month now. LOVED the roots on the black pine for root over rock. Looking forward to purchasing more trees in the future.
